To the left is a shot of just one of the teams that have arrived at Rotorua just days before the first race of the worlds. The British Team gathered for a briefing by captain Tony Williams this evening at the Novotel (team hotel) just 100m from the water’s edge.
For those not in NZ, the weather is not at all wintery as most people went about their preparations in shorts and t-shirts today. With very little wind in the air, the water is almost miror-like and unless things change in the next few days, we’re in for some exceptionally fast racing, at least here in the first round on Rotorua. There has been an extended period of very little wind in the area lately.
