The 2011 Karl Brooks Annual Golf Tournament is being held on Friday 15th April at Warley Park Golf Club Essex.
Proceeds from the event will go towards the Karl Brooks Ski Training Camp
It will be a Shotgun start playing Texas Scramble (4 ball,best ball)
The day will begin with Bacon Rolls & Coffee, 18 Holes, Evening meal with entertainment.

As everyone in ski racing knows, Karl Brooks tragically lost his life in 2007, but the memory of Karl and the wonderful person he was, is still with all of us.
12 British skiers and 10 volunteer helpers spent 3 nights at the Fevaca Hotel home to Bernico Boats for the 2nd Karl Brooks Ski Training Camp, writes Karen Brooks.

At the closing ceremony of the 2008 European Water Ski Racing Championships, Karen and Martin Brooks collected an award on behalf of their son Karl Brooks, who was tragically lost in June 2007. EAME Racing Chairman Mike Waterman presented the award.
Justin Frank writes …the first Karl Brooks Jr. Ski Clinic was a great success! We had junior skiers of all ability levels participating over the weekend, some who have only competed in one race and others who have been racing for most of their lives. The common goal that the participants shared was that everyone learned something new.
On 30th March 2008 Morwenna Gibbs will be taking part in the Brooks 19th Paddock Wood Half Marathon (13.1 miles). She will be raising money for the Karl Brooks Memorial Fund. You can read more baout the run at www.paddockwoodac.co.uk

The 2nd Round of the New Zealand Community Trust 15th IWSF World Water Ski Racing Championships have now been completed and again we saw some of the best world championships racing ever on the beautiful Lake Taupo.
On 11 May, New Zealand put on a unique opening ceremony at Lake Rotorua in which two local Maori tribes performed their “Powhiri” where current World Champions Todd Haig and Kim Lumley were wrapped in Maori cloaks and challenged by a spearing weilding warrior. Thankfully Todd did the right thing, accepted the challenge by picking up a leaf from the ground and the ceremony completed peacefully.
